About

We are a leadership development firm committed to transformational impact. Bringing decades of experience and a consistent curiosity, we build individualized strategies to set the course for authentic and effective workplaces. Through coaching practice, leadership development and team building work, we empower organizations to be the best version of themselves.

Here is what you can expect from us:

Personalized work plans based on your needs.

Expertise and constant learning.

Deep work that sticks.

We understand that every sector, organization and team is unique. Through setting goals for our work together, we create an expectation of buy-in and collaboration that is vital to the work we are about to embark on. Personal, team and organizational goals shape the work - not the other way around.

With experience across a variety of sectors and constant strides towards expanding our certifications and skillsets, we know we are offering a deep understanding of leadership and work cultures to our clients. We are also committed to following current research and evaluating our projects so that we can always be improving how we work.

Leadership is not about silver bullet solutions - it's about going deeper on self awareness, assumptions, and challenges we are facing. We meet organizations where they are at, help them dial into their strengths, and empower them to feel excited about their work. We work with leaders who have hope for themselves and goals for their teams, and want to go the distance to get there.

We work with organizations and businesses across all sectors.

Heather Clayton Consulting was founded out of extensive experience in education, leadership and consulting.

With roots in consulting in the public and private education system, I set out to continue to develop my work through a Master’s in Leadership. I expected to learn simple tricks for better leadership; instead, I was invited to pull apart and go deeper on my perceptions and self awareness as crucial steps towards transformational leadership.

My MA ignited a new passion for coaching as a tool for building strengths and changing cultures. I am certified with the International Coaching Federation, and am constantly expanding on the certifications I hold so that I can be bringing the most up to date knowledge to my clients.

I began consulting full time to spend my time doing what I am most passionate about - working with leaders to be the best versions of themselves. I work with teams across all sectors, teach courses online, and coach a variety of individuals. Getting to witness organizations transforming to be more authentic and effective has been the greatest joy of my career.

In 2016, we presented at the ISABC Conference in Vancouver, delivering a talk on River and Rut stories. You can watch it here to get to know me better, or you can check out my blog for more of my reflections on leadership.

When I’m not working with leaders, you can find me spending time with my kids, with my nose in a good book, or enjoying my favourite new role of Nana to my two wonderful grandbabies. I love getting away to Mexico in the winters with my husband, or spending time at the cottage my grandfather built on Sauble Beach. Finding balance is a constant work in progress for this extrovert, and these are the things that help me be my best self.
