What are Coaching Circles?
The purpose is to bring together the collective wisdom of leaders within the organizations to resolve sticky issues. Circles use action learning, which is a continuous cycle of acting, reflecting, learning and planning. This scientifically proven methodology transforms both individuals and organizations through a continuous process of learning.
What is your role as a participant?
1. Possible conversation with your sponsor leader before coaching circles begin that includes:
• why you chose to participate
• how you would like them to support you in my ongoing leadership & development (during and post)?
• what do they see as your strengths and opportunities for development (my learning edge)
2. Throughout learning journey
• Schedule times to connect and provide feedback on your learning and practice
• Ask your sponsor leader to participate in the evaluation of program
3. As a circle participant?
• Complete pre learning prior to each coaching circle
• Be open and willing to participate fully and practice new models and methods in your work
• Attend each session
• Implement your plan
• Have conversations with your sponsoring leader during your learning journey to share your insights
• Track your learning development goals
• Participate in evaluation of program
Role of your coach in the circle
• Be familiar with the prework concepts and models, and be able to weave them into the session.
• Facilitate the 60-minute session to include
